This exciting new programme looks at the core issues of Equality that lie behind the equality objectives embedded within the Equality Delivery System (EDS). The programme uses an innovative approach that illustrates the issues surround equality, diversity and inclusion.

Delivering the agenda of the EDS is challenging and requires fresh new innovation (not what has gone before) to deliver the equality objectives for legislation purposes and CQC obligations.

To successfully engage with equality it is not just about learning the knowledge and ideas it is about gaining both an intellectual understanding but also an emotion one.

We work on the ideas that to promote equality and to combat accumulated disadvantage, equality professionals need to work with accumulated advantage of the true meaning of equality.

This works much the same as compound interest where small changes in us, lead to greater changes over time; this is where the learning of new things on the day adds greater value to us using the ideas from the day accumulates this value.

A recipe for innovation that is needed to make the practices of the EDS real is that we have to acquire

To make the EDS real there a crucial step is fully understanding equality intellectually and emotionally in other words ‘doing it is understanding it’.

The contents of this one day programme are focused around achieving the objectives and outcomes which form part of the EDS.
