The workbook and training style has been excellent for me and has made it very achievable for me to complete. The notion that one can ever get past one’s uncomfortable thought process without first addressing where they come from and what caused them now seem laughable. I really enjoyed this course and found both teaching style and group interaction very effective. I learned a lot about critical thinking and how to apply it in terms of learning more about equality and diversity issues. I particularly enjoyed the section on Human Rights and think that has encouraged me to go out and find out more about this as well as apply principles to my everyday home and work life.

Thank you very much for the very informative sessions which were both educational yet fun to attend. I found that some elements of the sessions (i.e. marketing and psychology) can be applied to so many different areas. I have also noticed that certain elements, that might of forgot, haven’t and I have been able to recall and explain to others in a more effective way.

I would highly recommend this course. The level of understanding of the subject matter by the training organisation far outweighs that of any similar training I have accessed before.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be highly interesting and motivating in my personal goals. Since commencing the course I have increased my own knowledge in the subject matter by over 50%. It has given me confidence to incorporate equality issues within my work and has enabled me to secure a position as the head of equality at NHS Walsall.

It is a excellent course that provided a wide range of learning and far exceeded my expectations. Thought provoking, challenging in an effective and non intrusive manner (i.e. challenging but not to the extent that people shut down so therefore effective), useful for professional and personal applications, diverse in the material covered yet all the material covered is germane to the subject, discussion tends to go far beyond the level 2 so in that respect immensely valuable because even though the certificate may be Lvl 2 the work done is far and away above that (it’s like being told that you are getting a mini but it drives like a Ferrari), delivered in a clear, concise and consistent manner. Very interesting; it has something for everyone and the mapping and framework material at the start ensure that everyone is able to relate to the work/subject/material.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the course to date.  It has been very useful to start right at the beginning - personal frameworks etcs rather than with the legal framework/policy.  It has also been great to work in a group comprised of a wide variety of different people to gain their perspective on the issues under discussion.

The delivery was engaging, informative and fun. The course helped me challenge my own values and beliefs and begin to understand the concepts around difference and commonality. Equality and Diversity is a much wider issue than the traditional strands and the course enabled me to take the next step and begin to understand how focusing on differences can cause prejudices. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the open and relaxed environment created by the tutors made it a productive learning environment where participants felt at ease and able to discuss issues in a frank and honest way.

The course has enabled me to analyse my practice, role ands organisation in a constructive way and has pushed me to look at my personal responsibilities in more depth.  I feel that attending this training has been extremely beneficial in helping me grasp the core values around the subject area.

This was a extremely challenging and thought provoking course. It tackled a subject rarely promoted in this section and transformed the whole concept of the subject. What courses I have seen have been very much legislation driven. This course challenged the inner self and demonstrated equality is an individual process, and it should be approached in this way.
